2011 Saskatchewan AYA Tournament

 
     
  Sunday July 24 was the date for the 2011 Saskatchewan Angler Young Angler Event. The weather was beautiful, sunny and a light breeze, the word on the water was there was a good bite and some big walleye had been caught over the previous few days. Our full field of 40 Teams met at 7:00 and enjoyed a great pancake breakfast and were out fishing by 8:30. Fish were being caught all over Echo Lake but a very good bite was happening at the west end of Echo outside the mouth of the river and most teams stayed in that area the entire day and had a great time catching lots of fish.

When the day was done the Teams came in to weigh their fish at the stage, and all 40 teams were successful and weighed fish, and while the results were being put together everyone enjoyed another great meal, hamburgers, hot-dogs, watermelon and refreshments.

All teams participated well and received unbelievable prizes from our many sponsors.

We want to congratulate this years winners who will be representing Saskatchewan at the International Championship on Lake of the Woods Aug 13.
