| As most of you are aware there was a recent PWT tournament in Dryden Ontario with 25 American PWT pros competing against a team of 25 Canadians. For the Canadian Team, Ryjus and Berkley supplied each team member with custom sub-dyed jersey. During the tournament Ryjus had a display booth and several people expressed an interest in purchasing these team Canada shirts. Ryjus decided to ask several members of the Canadian team if they would be willing to sign and donate their Team Canada shirts to be auctioned off after the event to raise money for the local fish enhancement group. | ||
| Chris Kindraka purchased several of these shirts and has since been donating them to be used to raise funds for non-profits at various events. The day after the Dryden PWT, the AYA championship was being held in Kenora, Ont on Lake of the Woods and Chris donated Jeff Gustafson's shirt which was auctioned and raised $600.00 for the AYA tournaments. In addition to fishing the PWT Can-Am, Jeff Gustafson won the 2008 KBI tournament held the week earlier. | ||
| At our Last Mountain Fall tournament Chris donated my Team Canada shirt to be used as a fund raiser for the local Fort Qu'Appelle AYA event. I thought, ya, who would want to buy my shirt, but I know it wasn't the name on the shirt but our SWT members willingness to donate to a good cause that sold the shirt. 52 cards were sold and within about three minutes $520.00 was raised to support the AYA. Derek Keen had the winning card and is shown in the above photo. | ||
