SASKATCHEWAN WALLEYE TRAIL

Last Mountain Lake is well known for the large walleye it continues to produce and it is also gaining a reputation as a premier destination for those wishing to pursue the freight train of fresh water fish, the carp.  The following pictures are only a couple of several carp that were caught during the recent Fall Walleye Classic.  We don't usually enjoy catching other species during a walleye tournament but when one of these guys bites, you might as well hold on and enjoy the ride.

Clarence Neufeld with the carp he caught, Clarence reported that he new it wasn't a walleye as soon he set the hook when the fish took off to deep water and for several minutes he couldn't budge it off the bottom.
